Finding the right home for my puppies is always my highest priority. These dogs deserve so much love and can give so much in return. Our AKC papered puppies are more expensive than the non papered even though they are all pure bred shih tzus, but that does not make one better than the other. It is all about preference. Puppies do take lots of love and care but they are so worth it.
That being said, I do require a signed contract for every purchase of my puppies along with a non refundable $200 security deposit that goes towards the total cost. If after you pay the deposit you decide to not complete the purchase and no longer wish to purchase the puppy for whatever reason, you forfeit your deposit. It is a spay/neuter contract for every puppy unless we have previously discussed the purchase of breeding rights which will increase the cost.
If you are serious about buying a puppy, have previously discussed the purchase with me either in person or over the phone ( I want to be able to talk to a real live person before initiating any payments ), and it has been verbally agreed upon, please email us at shihtzusinthemeadow@gmail.com. Please include the name of the puppy you are buying along with the information for your preferred method of payment. We will then send you a copy of your contract and a payment request if applicable. Security deposits should be paid off no later than 48 hours after the contract or request has been sent. If you are not paying electronically, the security deposit should be delivered during your first in person visit. This is the standard unless previous arrangements have been made.
This contract will only have the basic information about the sale at that moment in the sale timeline and is used mainly to inform you and to have it on record that the security deposit and our policies have been acknowledged and you agree to them. The contract will be finalized with any updated agreements and will be signed by both parties in person before the puppy will leave our kennel. If you want an updated contract after other verbal agreements have been made, we can send one with any updated information.
Only after you have paid the security deposit will the puppy be considered no longer available.
We accept paypal, venmo, and in person payments of cash or cashier checks. If you are paying through paypal, please pay through friends and family so there is no fee charge. We shall request the same way.
